BAFTA TV Awards host Rob Beckett charmed audiences at the show but it's not all been smooth sailing for the comedian. Despite his career highs, Rob has faced personal challenges, including a secret health battle that he's bravely spoken about.
The 38 year old funnyman, who tied the knot with his sweetheart Louise Watts in 2015, has previously shared with the Daily Mail how his wife supported him financially during his early comedy days, saying she "paid all the bills for three years when I was earning no money as a comedian".
Rob and Louise are proud parents to two little girls, and Rob doesn't shy away from expressing his love for fatherhood. He's been quoted by the Guardian saying that parenting is the 'best thing I have ever done', and cherishes the simple moments like cuddling on the sofa more than any material success.
Not just a face on television, Rob has also made waves in the podcasting world with his show Parenting Hell, co-hosted with Josh Widdicombe.
The podcast, which started during lockdown, became a hit, leading to a live tour. Rob's down-to-earth approach to parenting was evident when he confessed to the BBC: "I love my kids to pieces and try my best but sometimes I'm rubbish at it," adding, "And that's life.
And if you don't accept you're rubbish at it sometimes, you'll never get better.", reports the Mirror. While the presenter has a happy family life in South East London and enjoys a very successful career, he's also faced his share of struggles.
