The stars of Lord Of The Rings have regrouped for an upcoming episode of Josh Gad’s YouTube reunion series.
Nearly four decades after Splash was in theaters, the main cast, director, and producer of the 1984 fantasy romantic comedy reunited on Josh Gad’s Reunited Apart web series to reminisce about everything from the difficult underwater scenes to the fact that the movie sparked a popular baby name. Stars Tom Hanks, Daryl Hannah, and Eugene Levy appeared on the series’ third episode along with director Ron Howard and producer Brian Grazer.
For episode four of his popular ‘Reunited Apart’ series, it seems that Josh Gad is bringing together the cast of the Lord Of The Rings movies. Teasing a video for an event set to land on YouTube this Sunday, Gad linked up with Sean Astin (following their connection on The Goonies reunion a couple of weeks ago), along with fellow cast members Elijah Wood, Dominic Monaghan, Billy Boyd, Orlando Bloom, and Sir Ian McKellen.
It's been 36 years since Disney's romantic fantasy comedy hit theaters, and now the cast and creators are coming together virtually to share their memories of the project. Following his reunion of The Goonies, Josh Gad has brought back together the cast of one of the greatest films of the 1980s, if not all time, Back To The Future. In his Reunited Apart series, which has been created in coronavirus lockdown to raise funds for front line workers, Gad has been networking to get some of his heroes from some of his favourite movies back together again, and it is glorious.
