‘Babylon’: Damien Chazelle’s Old Hollywood Film Delayed Until December 2022

Los Angeles County Department of Public Health officials have issued new guidelines for the reopening of film, music and television production. The new orders allow for shorter quarantine periods but require daily Covid-19 screenings, pre-employment testing and increased use of face coverings.

Rebecca Rubin Film and Media ReporterAs the coronavirus pandemic continues to impact Hollywood, Disney has delayed another round of movies.Numerous titles, all from the company’s 20th Century Studios and Searchlight banner, have been shifted out of the first half of the year. Among the shifts: “The King’s Man” has moved from March 12 to Aug.

Jared Leto‘s new Spider-Man spin-off Morbius has been delayed again, only weeks after an initial release date change.The comic book thriller, focusing on the notorious Spider-Man villain, was originally due to be released in July 2020.Coronavirus-related delays then pushed it back to March 19 this year.

No Time To Die has already been delayed twice; it was originally due for release in April 2020, and then was moved to November 2020 and later to April 2021. The announcement, which was shared on the film's official website, confirms reports last week that the movie would be postponed until the autumn.
