Ayrshire police have launched an investigation after an attempted murder of two men last weekend.
Officers are appealing for witnesses following the incident in Stevenston on Saturday, July 8.
At around 12.40am police attended Forde Crescent, near Hyslop Road, where two men, aged 27 and 28, were found seriously injured.
The 28-year-old man was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow and has since been discharged.
The 29-year-old man was treated at Crosshouse Hospital in Kilmarnock and has since been discharged.
Officers are treating the incident as attempted murder and are following positive lines of enquiry.
Detective Sergeant Peter Sweeney, North Ayrshire CID, said: “Enquiries are ongoing into the attack and we would appeal to anyone who was in the area between 12.20am and 1am to come forward to police.
“Forde Crescent is a residential area and I am sure people would have either seen or heard the disturbance outside.
“If you have not yet come forward to police and may have information that could help our investigation, including dashcam or doorbell footage, then please call police via 101. Please quote incident number 0170 of Saturday, 8 July, 2023 when calling. Details can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
