Awkwafina is Nora From Queens, which already has landed an early second season renewal, has scored for Comedy Central. The premiere episode drew a .31 rating among Adults 18-49 and 489,000 total viewers for its January 22 debut, the network’s highest-rated season one premiere since 2017. Among Women 18-49, the premiere is Comedy Central’s best in primetime since 2016. The .31 rating is 59% better than the next most recent new-series launch

Ilan Eshkeri has been tapped to score the BBC Earth docuseries “Perfect Planet.” Eshkeri, who has previously composed scores for “Still Alice” and “Young Victoria,” joins the ranks of Hans Zimmer and Steven Price who previously worked on “Planet Earth II” and “Our Planet,” respectively.
They did not attend the Grammys this year, but Hailey and Justin Bieber sizzled on the red carpet and indulged in some serious PDA as they attended the singer's new YouTube series premiere. For the unversed, Justin will be opening up about his life, career and music in a brand new series titled 'Seasons' which will stream on YouTube. James Corden is taking the carpool lane to Comedy Central. In the latest example of newly found synergy inside the recently merged ViacomCBS universe, Comedy Central will start airing repeats of CBS’ “The Late Late Show with James Corden” starting on Monday, Jan. 27.

Comedy Central has snagged Awkwafina, and it is not letting her go any time soon. Sarah Babineau, co-head of original content at Comedy Central, announced Tuesday at the Television Critics Association winter press tour that the network's new comedy Awkwafina Is Nora From Queens has been renewed for Season 2 ahead of its debut.
