Having beaten Brentford, football.london reporters spotted Martinelli heading to the dressing room after walking through the 'mixed zone' in north London with his protective and supportive gear. There are now serious doubts about whether he will be able to play in midweek.
Before the game, Arsenal tweeted: "Gabriel Martinelli misses out on today's squad due to the foot issue sustained at Sheffield United." Arteta had expressed hope that the forward would be available for the game, though.
