Arista Records Signs British Singer, Songwriter and Actor ARLO (EXCLUSIVE)

EXCLUSIVE: Oscar-nominated Brazilian filmmaker Carlos Saldanha has signed with Range Media Partners. Saldanha is one of the principle creative forces behind the Ice Age and Rio franchises during his time at Blue Sky Studios, where his films grossed over $2 billion at box offices worldwide. He is a two-time Academy Award nominee, first for the animated short Gone Nutty  and more recently, the animated feature Ferdinand.

Beta Film has closed a pair of big broadcast deals for its WWII drama Atlantic Crossing, starring Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks) and Sofia Helin (The Bridge), selling the limited series to Spanish pay TV group Movistar+ and to Austria’s national public broadcaster ORF. MacLachlan plays U.S.

Naman Ramachandran Bollywood star Ranveer Singh and filmmaker S. Shankar are teaming for a Hindi-language remake of 2005 Tamil-language blockbuster “Anniyan.”Shankar is known for his big-budget extravaganzas including “Sivaji” (2007), “Enthiran” (2010) and its sequel “2.0” (2018), all starring superstar Rajinikanth, and “Indian” (1996), starring actor-turned-politician Kamal Hassan.
