After Deadline broke the news last week that New Line was in pole position top land the package A Chris Farley Story, the studio made it official today having landed the biopic on the legendary comedian.  Paul Walter Hauser and to be directed by Josh Gad, with Lorne Michaels and Erin David producing via Broadway Video. Sources say the package sold in the $2.5 million dollar range.

Katcy Stephan Missy Elliott is joining Universal Pictures’ untitled Pharrell Williams and Michel Gondry musical project. She joins Halle Bailey, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Oscar nominee Brian Tyree Henry and Oscar winner Da’Vine Joy Randolph in a coming-of-age musical set in Virginia Beach in the summer of 1977 and inspired by the Atlantis Apartments, located in Williams’ childhood neighborhood. Michel Gondry (“Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind,” “The Science of Sleep”) is set to direct the project based on a script by Martin Hynes (“Toy Story 4,” “The Magician’s Elephant”) and Steven Levenson (“Tick, Tick…Boom,” “Fosse/Verdon”).

It included a $2.5 million base salary, stock awards valued at about $15 million, $9.2 million in option awards and $8.55 million in what’s called non-equity incentive plan compensation – like a cash bonus.

Roberts, who oversees the cable giant and NBCUniversal, last year had a salary of $2.5 million, stock awards worth $15 million, stock options worth $9.2 million and a $8.55 million cash incentive bonus. In 2022, his compensation totaled about $32.1 million.

The pitch is based on the book by Farley’s brother Tom Farley Jr. and Tanner Colby and will be adapted by Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber with Josh Gad directing. Lorne Michaels, who found and cast Farley in Saturday Night Live in the ’90s, is producing through his Broadway Video.

Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel’s 2023 pay package totaled $83.9 million, according to the company’s proxy statement today. That comes on top of the $65 million in compensation last year as chief executive of TKO Group, the new public company that’s controlled by Endeavor.

Emanuel’s 2023 pay at Endeavor included $4.9 million in salary, a $34.65 million bonus and $43.47 million in stock awards, the company disclosed in a regulatory filing Thursday.

It also made ADOR the third highest earning label under HYBE for the year, following Big Hit Music (KRW552.3billion) and Pledis Entertainment (KRW327.2billion).ADOR’s revenue in 2023 also helped it earn an operating profit of KRW33.5billion (USD24.3million), following a KRW4.0billion (USD2.9million) loss in the year prior.In related news, HYBE has said that it will file a complaint against executives of K-pop agency ADOR, including CEO Min Hee-jin, over a breach of trust and other allegations amid an ongoing dispute between the entertainment giant and the management of ADOR over control of the K-pop agency.Despite the growing spat between HYBE and ADOR, NewJeans will reportedly still move ahead with plans to release new music next month, according to a source with “knowledge in the matter”.

Ari Emanuel, CEO of TKO Group as well as the soon-to-be-private Endeavor, saw a pay package valued at $64.9 million in 2023 as CE0 of TKO Group, the home of WWE and UFC. TKO is a relatively new company that started trading on the New York Stock Exchange last September.
