As you probably know from this weekend, director/producer Matthew Vaughn is a very chatty man whe’llo reveal quite a few secrets. He already teased that he won’t direct his “Kick-Ass” reboot, but he does have a cast and director seemingly all set and he also revealed that “Deadpool 3” scares him a little bit because it has ideas similar to his “Kick-Ass” movie idea, hmmm.

Filmmaker Matthew Vaughn’s spy film, “Argylle,” is in theaters now, and it hasn’t exactly lit up the box office, but we know the director has ambitious plans for the series. He’s already said that he hopes to connect “Argylle” to the world of his other spy series, “Kingsman.” Late last year, he revealed that he has one more spy franchise in the works that could connect all three into one inter-connected spy universe.

Wait, why is Matthew Vaughn on the MCU train? He’s got a Universal “Argylle” spy movie coming out soon and isn’t involved with Marvel or any of the old Marvel/Fox properties. Matthew Vaughn’s latest spy adventure “Argylle” inches closer to its premiere, one important question remains unanswered: Who is Elly Conway? For those unfamiliar with “Argylle,” the film — starring Henry Cavill, Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Rockwell, Dua Lipa and more — is said to be based on a book of the same name by Conway, an unknown, first-time author. Indeed, the book itself is real, published by Penguin and available for purchase. But in a twist revealed by the movie’s trailer, Conway is also the name of Howard’s character, a bestselling spy novelist who finds herself involved in some real-life espionage.

EXCLUSIVE: Matthew Vaughn reveals that last year he received what he terms “flattering” offers to sell Marv Films, the production company behind productions that include the Kick-Ass and Kingsman franchises and the Apple Original Films romance spy-thriller Argylle. That film is having its world premiere today in London, ahead of its February 2 U.S. theatrical release through Universal.

“The Kingsman” franchise is an interesting one. The first film shocked a lot of people and became a bit of a hit for filmmaker Matthew Vaughn.
