DJ Khaled, John Legend, and the late Nipsey Hussle have taken home the award for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration tonight at the 62nd Annual Grammy Award. Khaled’s 2019 single “Higher” beat out songs by Lil Baby and Gunna (“Drip Too Hard”), Lil Nas X (“Panini”), Mustard and Roddy Ricch (“Ballin”), and Young Thug, J. Cole, and Travis Scott (“The London”).

Tyler, the Creator won his first Grammy on Sunday night (Jan. 26), as his critically acclaimed album Igor was awarded best rap album.

Tyler, The Creator took home his first Grammy for Best Rap Album at the 2020 ceremony, and he used his acceptance speech to thank one of his biggest musical inspirations. The former Odd Future rapper wrapped up his speech by shouting out Pharrell Williams, whom he has long cited as one of his primary musical influences:

Dan + Shay have won the 2020 Grammy for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for “Speechless.” They won the award over Brooks & Dunn with Luke Combs (“Brand New Man”), Brothers Osborne (“I Don’t Remember Me (Before You)”), Little Big Town (“The Daughters”), and Maren Morris featuring Brandi Carlile (“Common”).

Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus have won the 2020 Grammy for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Old Town Road (Remix).” They won the award over Ariana Grande and Social House (“boyfriend”), Jonas Brothers (“Sucker”), Post Malone and Swae Lee (“Sunflower”), and Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello (“Señorita”).

Before DJ Khaled, John Legend, and a host of others pay tribute to Nipsey Hussle tonight, the Los Angeles rapper became a Grammy winner for the first time.

Rapper Nipsey Hussle posthumously won the Grammy award for best rap performance at the 2020 ceremony.

It's been nearly a year since the death of South L.A. native and rapper Nipsey Hussle, but his memory lives on.

The 2020 Grammy for Best Rap Performance has been posthumously awarded to Nipsey Hussle. Roddy Ricch and Hit-Boy also won for the song “Racks in the Middle.” The other nominees in the category were J. Cole (“MIDDLE CHILD” and the Dreamville posse cut “Down Bad”), Offset and Cardi B (“Clout”), and DaBaby (“Suge”).
