Aquaman is coming to HBO Max.
The nascent WarnerMedia streamer has ordered a three-part animated series titled “Aquaman: King of Atlantis.” James Wan, who directed on worked on the story for the 2018 live-action “Aquaman” film, is onboard to executive produce the animated series.
“King of Atlantis” will begin with Aquaman’s first day on the job as king of Atlantis. Luckily, he has his two royal advisors to back him up – Vulko, the scholar, and Mera, the water controlling warrior-princess.
Following a thunderstorm of Oprah Winfrey-related controversy and a successful Sundance Film Festival premiere, “On the Record” has secured domestic distribution at HBO Max.

Telecom giant AT&T on Wednesday reported its fourth-quarter financials, disclosing that it lost 219,000 subscribers at its AT&T TV Now streaming service in the period and945,00 premium TV subscribers at DirecTV and U-Verse, with WarnerMedia earnings in the quarter down amid investment and foregone revenue tied to HBO Max.AT&T CFO John Stephens on an earnings conference call said that financial hit would continue as the company nears the May launch of HBO Max.
The march to the launch of HBO Max in May is driving changes across WarnerMedia.

AT&T’s top line was stung by its investment in HBO Max in the fourth quarter of 2019 to the tune of $1.2 billion in “foregone licensing revenues.” The telco also continued to see rapid deterioration in its pay-TV business, losing a total of nearly 1.2 million subscribers in Q4.

HBO Max has ordered an animated comedy series centered on the British royal family.
No Time To Die went through a few hurdles before it heard the final clap last year. Among the many hiccups, the James Bond movie suffered the biggest loss in the form of losing director Danny Boyle. Avid James Bond fans would remember that Boyle was associated with the Bond 25 movie. However, due to differences, the makers and Boyle had to part ways. Eventually, Cary Joji Fukunaga was brought on board of the Daniel Craig starrer. Now, No Time To Die producers reflect upon Boyle's exit.
UPDATE: January 18, 2020, 11:39 a.m.: Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but sounds like there's been a snag in entire production of that highly-anticipated Friends reunion. The holdup? Pay negotiations for the original cast.
We now know a little bit more about whether a “Friends” reunion is ever bound for forthcoming streamer HBO Max, if the Harry Potter franchise will make its way to the service, and what the new Green Lantern series will entail.
