Roar, a new series on AppleTV+ made by the creators of and produced by Nicole Kidman answers this question. The show, out on AppleTV+ now, is an anthology series and each of the eight episodes stands alone, like a vivid short story. One episode starring and written by Janine Nabers is a chilling sci-fi thriller about racism in “nice” white liberal spaces.

ET's Cassie DiLaura spoke to Kidman, at the film's Los Angeles premiere Monday, where she opened up about reuniting with her  co-star for the action-packed Viking thriller. While, this time, they are playing mother and son, the role is just as tumultuous as the abusive husband and wife duo they portrayed in the hit HBO TV series.Kidman plays Queen Gudrún in the film, Prince Amleth's [Skarsgård] mother, who is kidnapped after his uncle brutally murders her husband and Amleth's father.

Margot Robbie's movie is adding more friends to the mix! ET can confirm that Issa Rae and Michael Cera have officially joined the cast of the upcoming film, which is based on the iconic doll franchise.Greta Gerwig is directing the film, and co-writing the script with Noah Baumbach. Other cast members include Ryan Gosling — who is playing Ken --  America Ferrera, Simu Liu, Kate McKinnon and Will Ferrell.

A live-action movie based on the iconic doll line “Barbie” has been in the works for ages, but it finally started shooting in the United Kingdom with director Greta Gerwig (“Little Women“) behind the camera and star/producer Margot Robbie (“Wolf of Wall Street“) in front of it as the titular character. Gerwig co-wrote the film with husband/filmmaker Noah Baumbach (“Marriage Story“) and there are certainly signs that the family-friendly picture is going to skew more humorous than we might have originally expected given the film’s exciting cast.

Caroline Framke Chief TV CriticThe worst part of “Roar” is also its most consistent. While every episode of Apple’s new anthology show tackles an entirely different story with a different cast to match, they each open with a neon graphic of a woman’s mouth screaming out of a blooming flower.
