Pearl Jam drummer Matt Cameron pulled out of the band’s show in Oakland last night (May 12) after testing positive for COVID-19.It was the first time in 24 years the sticksman has missed a show with the band.As a result, touring member and former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist Josh Klinghoffer stepped in on drumming duties for a series of tracks including Neil Young’s ‘Rockin’ In The Free World’, ‘Elderly Woman Behind The Counter In A Small Town’, ‘Why Go’ and ‘Corduroy’.Longtime band collaborator Richard Stuverud also got behind the drums for ‘Quick Escape’ and ‘Superblood Wolfmoon’ before a fan stepped up for the show’s finale ‘Yellow Ledbetter’. More than 20 years in the making, Francis Ford Coppola’s Megalopolis has set its star cast. Adam Driver, Forest Whitaker, Nathalie Emmanuel (Game of Thrones and Fast X), Jon Voight and Laurence Fishburne have been set for the main roles. Fishburne began his career with Coppola at the tender age of 14 in Apocalypse Now. Legend has it he was of legal age when the film got released.

Jack Huston of “Boardwalk Empire” and “House of Gucci” has been cast as the pivotal and mysterious character Lasher in AMC’s “Mayfair Witches” series, the cabler announced on Friday. The series is based on the Mayfair trilogy by “Interview With the Vampire” author Anne Rice.Lasher is a shape-shifting demon who has been linked to the family of witches for generations after being summoned in the 1600s.

Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches has found its Lasher. Jack Huston (House of Gucci) has been tapped to play the series regular role in the AMC Networks series. Lasher is one of Rice’s most mysterious and sensual characters — a powerful, shape-shifting entity who has been bound to the Mayfair witches for hundreds of years. Huston joins previously announced series regulars, including Alexandra Daddario (Dr. Rowan Fielding), Harry Hamlin (Cortland Mayfair) and Tongayi Chirisa (Ciprien).

EXCLUSIVE: James DuMont (The Righteous Gemstones), Christopher James Baker (Ozark), Manny Galan (City on a Hill), Juvian Marquez (Power Book II: Ghost) and Anirudh Pisharody (9-1-1) will round out the cast of the thriller Unit 234, from director Andy Tennant, which is currently in production in the Cayman Islands. Kenny Nguyen of ThreeSixtyEight has signed up to Executive Produce drama film Scent Of The Delta. The film is a 2020 Sundance Film Institute script semifinalist, written by Thuc Doan Nguyen and directed by Adele Pham (Nailed It). The film addresses Vietnamese culture and growing up in the American South in the 1980s.
