An angry mum has hit out at B&M after claiming their £20 wallpaper wouldn't stick to her walls.
Miriam Beck, from Bathgate, bought four rolls of the glittery silver wallpaper from the discount store in West Lothian. The 46-year-old was hoping to give her living room a 'spruce up' after her son and his partner moved out.
Miriam spent a total of £146 on the paper, paint and brushes for her DIY project with the wallpaper rolls priced at £20 each. But her home makeover soon turned into a disaster after seven failed attempts at sticking the paper to her living room walls.
The exasperated mum-of-four claims she also tried to use super glue, heavy-duty paste, edge glue, no more nails and spray adhesive in her failed efforts to bring some sparkle to her home.
Miriam told the Record: "Normally, I am good at putting up wallpaper - I have done my whole house myself from top to bottom.
"I wouldn't say I have qualifications, but I know what I need for the job at hand. It's frustrating and infuriating."
"I would put it up one day and the following morning I would go into the living room and see it had fallen down.
"It kept happening again and again to the point where I had to take it down and clean the walls to restart.
"I wish I had just painted them. I kept trying to stick down the wallpaper for over a month."
She complained to B&M and claimed their customer services told her it could be a supplier problem and asked her to return the rolls to the store. She claims she was laughed at by staff after returning the wallpaper.
She added: "I have literally had enough, I've written to the owners, no response. All I have done is complain to them.
"I'm getting to the stage where they think I'm just going to go away. The wallpaper was expensive so
