Katcy Stephan Thirteen-time Emmy winner David Javerbaum has signed with Paradigm for representation. Javerbaum spent 11 years at “The Daily Show With Jon Stewart” as a writer (1999-2002), head writer (2003-2006) and executive producer (2007-2010).

Joe Otterson TV Reporter Adi Shankar and his Bootleg Universe Media Productions have signed with WME for representation, Variety has learned exclusively. He continues to be repped by Chris S. Lee at B&C Content and Scott Sims at Ziffren Brittenham.

Katcy Stephan UTA has signed Spanish actor Karla Sofía Gascón for representation. Gascón plays the title role in Jacques Audiard’s film “Emilia Pérez,” for which she made history at the Cannes Film Festival in May as the first transgender woman to win the award for best actress. She shared the honor with co-stars Zoe Saldaña, Selena Gomez and Adriana Paz.

Naman Ramachandran Japanese director Miike Takashi, who is known for slasher film “Ichi the Killer” and stomach-churning “Audition,” has signed with CAA for representation. Miike who is also a film producer and screenwriter, is one of Japan’s most prolific and bold directors, with more than 100 feature film credits, spanning genres, including horror, comedy and action. “Ichi The Killer” and “Audition” enjoy cult followings globally.

Christina Aguilera has officially signed to 5020 Records, leaving her longtime label RCA Records of 26 years, Variety can confirm. Fans have been speculating over the past few months that the powerhouse singer had parted ways with RCA, the label that she’s called home for the entirety of her career, after 5020’s logo appeared on her official website.
