She also recalled meeting Hilaria “years ago” when they were backstage at Saturday Night Live, claiming that Hilaria said she was “‘from España,’” and used “a very thick Spanish accent.”
“They have a von Trapp amount of children,” Amy said, referring to Hilaria and husband Alec Baldwin having seven kids, the same amount of kids in The Sound of Music. “And they named them all ― I’m not sure, but very Spanish names like Jamón, Croqueta and Flamenco.”
“And all of this would be fine and beautiful, except that ‘Hilaria from España’ is actually Hillary from Boston,” Amy continued. “This woman is in no way Spanish. Her parents are not from Spain. No one in her life is from Spain. You’re going, ‘What?!’”
Back in 2020, Hilaria was accused of misrepresenting her heritage and adopting a Spanish accent. She was actually born as Hillary Hayward-Thomas in Boston, Massachusetts, but many believed she was born in Mallorca, Spain due to interview articles and a bio on her own agency’s website.
“So, I’m not trying to bully a sociopath. I have a point, OK?” Amy added. “I think what had happened was she went to Spain. And I’ve been lucky enough to go to Spain. Some of you have been. It’s great, right? Don’t you love it? I loved it, too. But Hillary from Boston…loooved it!”
