Amy Dowden has asked fans for help amid her 'painful' hair loss during her ongoing cancer battle.
The Strictly Come Dancing star reached out to her 483,000 Instagram followers as she asked for advice on what to do about her "painful" and "sore" scalp and head. She recently revealed that her second round of chemotherapy treatment has had a "heart-breaking" effect as she has started to lose her hair.
The professional dancer, 33, announced in June that she had undergone a mastectomy after discovering that she had stage three breast cancer.
Amy has remained honest and open with her fans throughout her journey. Amy has decided not to suffer in silence as she took to her Instagram story on Friday to ask her followers her help.
Posting to her story against a black background, she wrote: "So my scalp/head the last few days been quite sore and painful with the hair loss! "Any tips of what may help this out there? Really appreciate. Will share to help others too." She also left a box for her followers to leave their tips .
Then another post to her Instagram story saw Amy share a response which named "Lush' Superbalm Scalp Treatment" as a recommended product.
She told her fans: "Here's link guys. From a fellow pink sister @jennaherycz." Amy, who married fellow professional dancer Ben Jones in July 2022, previously said she had found a lump in her breast the day before she planned to go on her belated honeymoon this year.
The ballroom star then announced her diagnosis in May of this year, as doctors told her she had stage three breast cancer, but she vowed to "get back on that dance floor".
