She confessed that she was "traumatised" by the birth and feared for her and her babies' safety.
Amy remembered going in for a final check before giving birth, where doctors induced her to speed up the process. The midwives asked if she wanted a natural birth or a C-section, and Amy chose natural because she's "all about natural births". But during the check-up, a midwife noticed something wasn't right - Amy knew something was off but couldn't pinpoint what it was.
"Twin A, Bill, had his head down. And then all of a sudden, the midwife checked me and she's like, 'Ooh, one minute' and you just know, don't you?" Amy said. "I had about 10 midwives and doctors run in.
"She said to Bill, 'Put your scrubs on, she's got to have an emergency C-section, come on Amy'," she continued.
The TV star explained that the umbilical cord, usually attached to Bill, had started to detach from the baby, which could potentially deprive the baby of oxygen and cause brain damage. Thankfully, the midwife noticed the problem and called for immediate help, ensuring Bill was born healthy. But the rush to the theatre for the emergency C-section was especially hard on the couple, as the midwife had to keep her hand inside Amy to prevent the cord from detaching from the unborn child.
