AMC Networks CEO Josh Sapan has signed a contract extension with the company, keeping him at the helm of the owner of AMC, IFC, Sundance Channel and BBC America through the end of 2022. Sapan, 70, was named CEO of Rainbow Media (AMC's predecessor when it was still owned by Cablevision) in 1995, and led the company's spinoff as its own publicly-traded company in 2011.
