A man arrested in connection with the death of Hamilton teenager Amber Gibson has appeared in court charged with attempting to defeat the ends of justice.
Stephen Corrigan made no plea during his private appearance at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Wednesday, January 5.
The 43-year-old was remanded with his case committed for further examination by prosecutors.
He was arrested and charged following a police investigation into the death of the popular 16-year-old, whose body was found in Cadzow Glen, Hamilton, on November 28.
She had been reported missing from her council-run residential care unit in the Hillhouse area of the town two days before.
A major police probe was launched with police later arresting her 19-year-old brother Connor in connection.
He then appeared at the same court charged sexual assault, murder and attempting to pervert the course of justice before being remanded in custody.

Police Scotland yesterday confirmed a second arrest had been made in connection with Amber’s death.
