Doc Martens is running a spring sale with up to 40 percent off, but savvy shoppers can get a bargain for less on Amazon.
With summer coming up, it's just about time to think about a wardrobe for the months. Chunky sandals are all the rage and Doc Martens' shoes fit the bill nicely.
The iconic footwear brand offers a number of chunky sandals as the weather warms up. Whilst a number of shoes are on sale, the Clarissa II Leather Strap Sandals are full price. With a price tag of £120, they're nearly £100 more than a lookalike pair on Amazon - the £24.99 KOLLACHE platform sandals.
'I'm a beauty writer uncovering Amazon's best deals - these are spring sale's top discounts'
The on-trend shoes come in a choice of black, white and beige and the chunky platform sole is set to be on-trend for travellers and festival goers this summer. Doc Martens can be painful to break in, but fans of the Amazon pair say they're comfortable enough to wear straight out of the box and lightweight enough to handle long journeys and long nights.
Made from soft synthetic materials, the chunky sandals from Amazon have a distinctive gladiator design with ankle strap. Perfect for pairing with flowery dresses or short-shorts, they cost a whopping £95 less than the similar looking £140 Clarissa sandals from Doc Marten.
It's worth noting that the £25 sandals may not be made from real leather or have the distinctive yellow seams and AirWair tag. However, they have still managed to impress trendy travellers on a budget.
One shopper said they were a satisfactory alternative to Doc Martens: "They are almost identical to the Doc Marten ones I wad looking at yet at a fraction of the price! They are comfortable and the cushioned sole gives a nice spring in your step."
