Amanda Holden has told Simon Cowell that “no one” can replace her on Britain’s Got Talent. The ITV talent competition returned to screens on Saturday evening after a two-year break and marked 10 years of the same judging panel of Amanda, 51, Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams.
The mother of two has appeared on every series of BGT since it began in 2007 and has said “no one” could take her seat on the show if she was ill. Amanda even appeared on the series just weeks after she nearly died in childbirth in 2012 and she is sure that Simon would show her the same loyalty.

In response to who could fill in for her in an absence, she said: “No one. They can just go down to a three! “Don't forget, I came out of a coma to go back on to Britain's Got Talent. There's no one who is taking my seat!” Amanda also admitted it was “incredible” that she had worked with her fellow judges since 2012 without having any issues.
She added: “It's pretty incredible achievement, especially in today's TV climate – for the same group of people to work together on the same show for so long and not fall out or be replaced! “I think we're always grateful for the gig, but this year more than ever, we are happy to be back sat next to each other and be reunited.” The first episode of BGT returned with a bang on Saturday evening as both Amanda and Simon awarded their golden buzzer to new acts. Amanda chose to propel Loren Allred into the semi-final, after she sang her heart out
