Amanda Abbington's fiancé Jonathan Goodwin has responded to a fan after a troll accused Amanda of 'trying to ruin Giovanni Pernice's Strictly Come Dancing career'. Amid reports that the BBC has launched an investigation into Strictly pro Giovanni following questions about his training style with the celebrities on the show, former Britain's Got Talent star Jonathan, 44, who has been engaged to Amanda since 2021, took to Instagram to share a cryptic quote.
Sharing a serious photograph of himself, he wrote: "We don’t control what happens to us… but we do control how we feel about it…. Every single moment that we live adds depth and weight to our identity.

In the comments, one of his followers wrote: "Can you tell Amanda that thinking someone is "abrasive" doesn't mean you set out to ruin their career? I know you found it uncomfortable watching them both together, perhaps even jealousy, but that's not his problem, that's yours." Seemingly taking heed at the quote he posted, Jonathan responded by saying: "Hi lovely thanks for this.
I wish you well." Amanda Abbington abruptly quit Strictly last year, with reports later surfacing that she was suffering from PTSD after her time with Giovanni in the training room. Ranvir Singh and Laura Whitmore have also hinted at struggling with Gio's technique.
On 17 May, it emerged that BBC bosses have reportedly launched an internal investigation into Strictly star Giovanni Pernice after three former contestants instructed lawyers. The corporation is now said to be "evidence gathering" in the wake of the damning
