Asked what the expectations will be of Amad, McFadden told Sky Sports: “I’m not sure. Does he have pedigree because Man United spent money on him? Does that mean he’s going to be a good player?
“He is a prospect, he’s not been able to get in the Man United side. That doesn’t mean he’s not a good player, but you look at what he can bring, he’s got speed, he’s got tricks, he can score goals and create, but he’s never been given a run of games to do that.
“He’s got a great opportunity in that position for Rangers. It gives Diallo a chance to come in and play, and play under pressure.
