Allison Williams is opening up about the disrespect she felt while working on Boardwalk Empire.
The 35-year-old actress, who was on the Women Behind the Words panel at the Nantucket Film Festival earlier this week, spoke during a discussion about the offensive and rude comments she and her fellow panelists had faced as women in the industry.
Allison admitted that she had quite a few that came to mind, but the one she shared happened while she was a stand in on the pilot episode of Boardwalk Empire.

She recalled, via IndieWire, that she was “a stand-in for the pilot of Boardwalk Empire, which was the coolest experience ever. An amazing pilot. It was shot on film. It was incredible.”
However, Allison then noted one moment during the shoot she was “at craft services and a member of the crew came up and said, ‘So what do you do here? You’re the on-set eye candy?’”
She then remarked that this was not the only time this happened.
“That’s an example of, I’m at work and that’s what someone says to me,” Allison says. “Or an actor I later worked with who watched me eat a pastry and said, ‘Don’t you want to be successful?’ You know, those kinds of comments come up inevitably.”
“Look how un-shocked you both are. That familiar, fuzzy feeling. We’ve all heard it,” she added.
