Strictly has finally danced its way back onto our screens in a whirl of glamour and glitter, with a first look at this year’s stars and professionals. Hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman welcomed us into the new series tonight (18 September) as we saw the celebrity contestants take to the floor with the professionals for their first group dance.
As usual, the professional dancers dazzled in two numbers which saw the return of last year’s winner, Bill Bailey. We were also treated to music from

Strictly Come Dancing's launch show on Saturday is said to have received 7million viewers and peaked at 7.3million. According to reports, this is the the BBC One show's "lowest audience" since it first introduced the pairing episode in 2010.
