EXCLUSIVE: Sony Pictures and PlayStation Productions, whose most recent video-game-to-film collaboration Uncharted grossed more than $400 million in global box office earlier this year, are getting behind the wheel for a movie adaptation of the iconic driving game Gran Turismo.

Polish filmmaker Agnieszka Smoczynska (The Lure, Fugue) makes her english language debut with The Silent Twins, the strange and remarkable story of June and Jennifer Gibbons, twin sisters who only communicated with each other from 8 to later teen years when drugs and drinking led to petty theft and an arson charge that landed them in the tightly secured medical ward of Broadmoor  for 11 years before being released in the 1980’s. Creating their own puppetry and dolls, poems, and music which they only broadcast for each other on a fake radio program, the “twinies” as they were called by family fell into an odd void that became more pronounced, even when they were forced to go to separate schools at one point, and they carried on this way until becoming young women landing into legal troule  until incredibly being incarcerated for over a decade, five or six times as long as the longest sentence for the petty crimes of which they were accused.

A killer concept. Following the success of the Scream franchise, MTV introduced a more long-term slasher concept in the form of a TV series.

An undercover cop befriends a murder suspect in The Stranger, a taut Australian thriller in Cannes’ Un Certain Regard section. Written and directed by Thomas M. Wright (Acute Misfortune), it features excellent performances from Sean Harris and Joel Edgerton, who also serves as producer.

EXCLUSIVE: Ed Skrein (Deadpool) has replaced Rupert Friend in Zack Snyder’s sci-fi epic Rebel Moon for Netflix, following Friend’s exit from the project due to scheduling conflicts, with Cleopatra Coleman (Dopesick), Fra Fee (Hawkeye) and Rhian Rees (Nope) also signing on for roles. The actors join an ensemble that also includes Sofia Boutella, Charlie Hunnam, Djimon Hounsou, Doona Bae, Ray Fisher, Stuart Martin, Cary Elwes, Corey Stoll, Michiel Huisman and Alfonso Herrera, as previously announced.

Courteney Cox isn't done with  ET's Matt Cohen spoke to Cox at the FYC event for her Starz series,  -- which has been renewed for season 2about the show's future and returning for a sixth installment in the horror movie franchise.«I don't know about contracts and where things are, but I'll tell you in the script — it's a really good one,» Cox teased of the sixth  film due out March 2023. «You actually have to be killed if you talk about it, so I'm not gonna say anything.» isn't the only thing she's returning for, Cox told ET what she hopes is in store for her character, writer Patricia, «Pat» Phelps, come season 2 of the hit horror comedy.«I was so lucky to be able to explore what I was able to in season 1, and I can only imagine it's going to be even more,» Cox said about the show's second season. «But everything from addiction to mental health to marital strife to moving and writer's block.

Hayden Panettiere is set to return to the silver screen in "Scream 6," more than a decade after last starring in the horror film franchise. The 32-year-old actress will reprise her role as Kirby Reed, a teenager who previously escaped the killer clutch of Ghostface in "Scream 4," which debuted in 2011 and was directed by Wes Craven.

Hayden Panettiere will be making her long-awaited return to the big screen for the upcoming sixth film, reprising the role she originated more than a decade ago in the fourth installment of the franchise. She'll be joining a host of familiar faces, including Melissa Barrera (Sam), Jasmin Savoy Brown (Mindy), Mason Gooding (Chad) and Jenna Ortega (Tara), all of whom have also been confirmed to be returning for the new sequel. According to a press release, principal photographed is scheduled to begin this summer. With filming shaping up to begin, one leading lady has told ET that she's still not sure if she'll be back.Neve Campbell, who has played Sidney Prescott since the first film, revealed at the  premiere this week that she's not attached to the upcoming horror film just yet.

There’s no word on whether veterans David Arquette, Neve Campbell and Courteney Cox will return yet.“The Scream saga continues with the four survivors of the Ghostface killings as they leave Woodsboro behind and start a fresh chapter,” a description for the new film reads.

Angelique Jackson Fans who’ve been clamoring to see Hayden Panettiere return to the “Scream” franchise have gotten their wish.Spyglass Media and Paramount Pictures announced Wednesday that Panettiere will appear in the upcoming sixth movie, reprising her role from 2011’s “Scream 4,” where she played Kirby Reed, a Woodsboro High School student and horror fanatic, who ultimately survived that movie’s Ghostface killer.News of the fan-favorite character’s return comes after Spyglass and Paramount confirmed that four survivors from last year’s “Scream” would also return for the new movie. Jenna Ortega and Melissa Barrera star as sisters Tara and Sam Carpenter, respectively.
