Alison Hammond has dropped a cryptic hint that she may have filmed her final episode of For The Love Of Dogs after viewers were left divided by her stint on the show. And now 49 year old Alison has shared a cryptic post which has possibly hinted at her having no future on the show, which follows the staff at Battersea Dogs and Cats Home as they help to care for animals in need. Reposting a promo pic for the final episode of For The Love Of Dogs on her Instagram Story on Wednesday, 22 May, the This Morning presenter explained that she’d “loved” working on the series.
“Final episode of For The Love Of Dogs,” she wrote. “I loved every minute of it.” Having used the past tense “loved”, Alison didn’t give her followers any indication about the show moving forward.
The cryptic post comes after Alison defended herself against trolls after receiving unexpected criticism for her role on For The Love of Dogs, revealing that she was “surprised” by the negative comments. “I was actually surprised with how much I got for doing the show.
I could understand in the sense that Paul was so loved and people were saying: 'How can she do Love Of Dogs when she doesn't have a dog? How does she love dogs when she doesn't have a dog?,” she told The Sun. However, she added: “Trolls will be trolls and I'll still do what I do best, which is TV presenting and you'll see for yourself, I think it's authentic and I loved doing it.
