Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary were overcome with emotion on This Morning as they announced the departure of a beloved colleague. The hosts of Friday's edition gave a warm farewell to a crew member who works on the show's sound effects and music. Alison explained: "Alan who does all the sound effects and the music and everything is actually leaving.
I'm absolutely devastated." Dermot, 48, replied: "Oh he's a genius. Where's he going?" Looking forlorn at the camera Alison added: "Let's have some sound - because this is what he does." As a tear-jerking song played out, Alison told viewers: "He's leaving today. He's been an amazing member of staff here at This Morning.
