As New Mexico police continue their investigation into the October 21 fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins by Alec Baldwin, on the set of Rust, the first in what is expected to many lawsuits has been filed.

Hilaria Baldwin took to Instagram on Sunday morning to show that she’s surrounding Alec Baldwin with family following his traumatic incident on the set of "Rust."  Alec was holding a prop gun that somehow went off on the set and discharged a live round that killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and wounded director Joel Souza.

A third search warrant released by the Santa Fe Sheriff's office Wednesday revealed a fourth person handled the firearm that actor Alec Baldwin accidentally discharged on the set of "Rust," killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and injuring director Joel Souza. Sarah Zachry, who was first mentioned in the third search warrant executed by the Santa Fe Sheriff's Department, has been interviewed by police about the fatal shooting of Hutchins, Fox News can confirm.

During a press conference on Wednesday, Santa Fe sheriff Adan Mendoza said that he's "not exactly sure of [Baldwin's] present whereabouts," as he hasn't been asked to stay put in New Mexico, though police say, he has been cooperative in their ongoing investigation into the accidental "Rust" shooting.

Santa Fe County Sheriff Adan Mendoza shared his investigators' initial findings Wednesday in the fatal movie-set shooting in which Alec Baldwin fired a gun used on set, killing a cinematographer and wounding the director. At a press conference, Mendoza told reporters "it is too early right now in the investigation to comment on charges" and that his department is working with the FBI to process evidence.

The accidental shooting on the set of the upcoming western film "Rust" could result in criminal charges, according to a district attorney. Mary Carmack-Altwies of New Mexico's first district told the New York Times that they "haven’t ruled out anything" when it comes to the future of the case.

The death of Halyna Hutchins on the set of "Rust" may have been an accident, but it’s possible those involved with the incident could still face civil or legal ramifications.
