Ainsley Harriott saved a woman from drowning by helping to pull her out of water on the first day of the Chelsea Flower Show on 23 May 2022.The 65 year old chef and television presenter emerged a hero as he rushed to aid a woman who fell into a water feature at the event. Alongside the help of many others who were at the BBC display at the Chelsea Hospital, Ainsley helped pull the woman out. The woman, whose name has not been revealed, was then treated by paramedics.
Her current condition is not known. "The garden was packed with lots of people and I think the woman must have fallen into the pond or tripped over and ended up in the water," one guest told The Sun. She was pulled out by Ainsley Harriott and some other celebrities before they laid her down on the floor. "She was coughing up lots of water." Ainsley wasn't the only celebrity to arrive at the Chelsea Flower Show on Monday as a host of other stars made their way to the event too. Dame Judi Dench, 87, Dame Joanne Lumley, 76, and artist Grayson Perry, 62, were all also in attendance.
DIY SOS star Nick Knowles also made an appearance at the Chelsea Flower Show. Nick, 59, is said to have looked on as events unfolded on the day. It's the first time he's been seen since clapping back at a troll who claimed girlfriend Katie Dadzie, 32, is with him for his money.
