ITV is welcoming in the new year with a huge line-up of gripping dramas. Their latest offering, After The Flood, focuses on the secrets of a quaint village devastated by high waters.
Set in the fictional outpost of Waterside, the natural disaster soon turns into a murder mystery when a man is found dead in the lift of a car park. He is initially considered a victim of the flood.
But as PC Joanna Marshall, played by Sophie Rundle, investigates, it soon becomes clear that there are other mysterious factors at play. The six-part series also delves into the impact of climate change, while residents' secrets, fortunes and reputations are at stake.

Sherwood's Lorraine Ashbourne, The Hunt for Raoul Moat's Matt Stokoe and Robin Hood's Jonas Armstrong are among the cast members.
After the Flood has been written by BAFTA-nominated writer and actor Mick Ford, known for his work on Netflix's Stay Close and The Stranger. It was filmed in Glossop as well as parts of Greater Manchester.

The new thriller kicks off on Wednesday January 10 at 9pm on ITV1. It will then air at the same time every Wednesday.
It will be available to watch on catch-up via ITVX.
After The Flood is a six-part drama, with the final episode airing on Wednesday, February 14.
Sophie Rundle, who appeared in BBC One period drama Peaky Blinders, leads the After The Flood cast as PC Joanna Marshall. She's supported by The Crown's Nicholas Gleaves and House of the Dragon's Tripti Tripuraneni, who play her sergeant and a fellow PC respectively.
