If you don’t know, an EGOT is an acronym for those who have won all four major awards in the Hollywood industry – an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony.
Adele is already a Grammy, Oscar and Emmy winner. However, she isn’t so sure she’ll be part of the EGOT club anytime soon.

In a new interview, Adele opened up about why she’s content just having an “EGO” (Emmy, Grammy and Oscar).
During her drive around with James Corden in the final Carpool Karaoke segment on The Late Late Show, the singer admitted that doesn’t think achieving EGOT status “is ever gonna happen.”
“I would never write a musical or anything like that because I f***ing hate musicals. I f***ing hate musicals. I don’t think I’ve ever said how much I f***ing hate musicals,” she shared.
While James clarified that Adele doesn’t like them, she does “respect” the art form of musicals.
“Absolutely,” she added. “I just don’t need to hear everything in f***ing song all the time. I also think the EGO suits me better.”
Adele won the Oscar for Best Original Song for Skyfall in 2013, and has several (18!) Grammy Awards to her name. She just recently won an Emmy for the broadcast of her Adele: One Night Only special in 2022.
