Ray Liotta was posthumously nominated for an Emmy Wednesday for his role in the crime drama "Black Bird."  "I am so grateful to the members of the Television Academy for honoring my Dad with this nomination," the late actor’s daughter Karsen Liotta said in a statement sent to Fox News Digital. "He was so incredibly proud of his performance in ‘Black Bird,’ and it would mean the world to him to be nominated alongside Taron [Egerton] and Paul [Walter Hauser]."   The 24-year-old also wrote she was "so proud" of her father on her Instagram Story.  Liotta’s fiancée Jacy Nittolo called the nomination "well deserved" on her Instagram Story.  Liotta stars as Taron Egerton’s father in the Apple TV+ series about a drug dealer (Egerton) who cuts a deal with the FBI to befriend a serial killer (Walter Hauser).  Liotta and Walter Hauser were both nominated for their supporting roles, and Egerton was nominated for his lead role in the series, which was released on the streaming service a year ago.The show also received a nomination for cinematography.  The series, which was inspired by "actual events," follows Jimmy Keene [Egerton] as he begins a 10-year prison sentence, [and] gets an incredible offer.

The Emmys served up 13 nominations on a silver platter for FX’s The Bear Wednesday morning. Among them was a nod for Ebon Moss-Bachrach in the Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series category for his turn as Carmy’s (Jeremy Allen White) cousin Richie Jeremovich.

Liotta was nominated forbest supporting actor in a limited series alongside his costar Paul Water Hauser, Richard Jenkins , Murray Bartlett, Joseph Lee, Young Mazino and Jesse Plemons.. Selome Hailu Cooper Koch and Nicholas Alexander Chavez have been cast in Season 2 of Ryan Murphy’s “Monster,” Variety has learned. They will play the Menéndez brothers in the Netflix anthology series, which told the story of Jeffrey Dahmer (Evan Peters) in Season 1. Netflix confirmed the subject and title of “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story” in May. This will be the first of the two additional “Monster” installments that Netflix ordered after “Dahmer — The Jeffrey Dahmer Story” became the streamer’s No. 2 most popular English-language series of all time. (It was surpassed by “Wednesday” in December; then recently, Netflix began ranking viewership by estimated viewers instead of total hours viewed, putting “Dahmer” at No. 3 behind “Wednesday” and “Stranger Things” Season 4.)
