That led to the county reporting 16,510 new cases in the past 24 hours, up 91% over the course of one week. It’s the highest daily case count since January 6 of this year, according to county data and one also of the highest daily case counts of the entire pandemic.

An actor was arrested on the set of NCIS: Los Angeles in connection to the deaths of two women who were dumped outside of Los Angeles-area hospitals.
Brandt Osborn, a 42-year-old actor from Staten Island, was reportedly working as a background actor on the set of the CBS series this week. The New York Post reports that Los Angeles cops nabbed him on the set on Wednesday (December 15) near “the corner of Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street in Hollywood.”
