Adam Ball, 35, was charged with a strong of vile incidents against his partner, with a judge slamming his behaviour as 'childish, pathetic, mean and spiteful'.
Manchester Crown Court heard he smashed the woman's phone while she was asleep after she changed her Facebook password. He also became abusive towards her when he couldn't connect a Fire Stick to his television, calling her a 'f***** s***' and threatening her. She tried to discreetly call the police, reports Manchester Evening News.
Ball, from Trafford, cut up her clothes and trainers and said she 'didn't deserve them'. "You should be embarrassed," Recorder Paul Hodgkinson told Ball. "You are a big man - tall, well-built, and I can see she is not.
"You should be ashamed, the way you have conducted yourself through this relationship with the lady who gave birth to your four children should cause you that embarrassment. To cause damage and send those videos is childish, pathetic, mean and spiteful."
Speaking about Ball's partner, who sat in the public gallery during the hearing and was said to be supportive of him, the judge said said: "I know she is present in court, and rightly or wrongly, she supports you. You must recognise that is support from her you clearly don't deserve.
"You should relish and cherish that support rather than abuse it." Prosecuting, Nicola Carroll earlier told the court the couple had been in a relationship for 14 years when, in October last, year she stayed overnight at her mum's house.
