ABC Pilots Update: Comedy ‘Adopted’ Not Moving Forward

ABC’s unscripted wildlife comedy series When Nature Calls has found its voice. Helen Mirren will narrate the series, which will now be titled When Nature Calls with Helen Mirren.

Deadline Contenders, a day filled with a star-studded lineup of creatives behind almost 50 Emmy-caliber shows, has teamed with Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Kimmel Live!, nonprofit St. Joseph Center, ABC and Disney Television Studios to donate 400 meals to those living in shelters and interim housing sites in Los Angeles.

ABC has passed on three more pilots. Drama Acts of Crime and comedies Black Don’t Crack and Bucktown will not be picked up to series. They join comedy pilot Adopted, whose team was notified of ABC’s decision not to proceed with it Thursday night.

It hailed from the team of Shawn Vance, Daril Fannin, and Jimmy Kimmel.

Thomas Rhett and Lauren Akins' family is expanding. The couple is expecting another baby girl, they revealed on Saturday night. «Well… we are pregnant again! Tonight when I was on stage in Fort Worth about to play 'to the guys that date my girls' my wife talked to me in my (ear monitors) and said 'you can tell them if you want' so anyways, now you know,» Thomas Rhett wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of him and Lauren showing off her baby bump.
