‘Abbott Elementary’ Tops 2022 TCA Awards

But as voting enters its final three days, can we take a moment to salute some of the shows that didn’t make it onto the hot lists, or onto the roster of nominees?The year in television wouldn’t have been the same without these shows, although you wouldn’t know that if all you had to go by was the choices of Television Academy voters.

Deadline.   Scott Menzel, the HCA Founder, explained that the actress received the award due to her transformation throughout her career. 'Moore’s talent is undeniable, and her work on This Is Us solidifies that as she was able to combine all of her talents within this final chapter that included a multifaceted performance that left millions around the world in tears.

The Hollywood Critics Association announced the winners of the 2nd Annual HCA TV Awards where HBO’s The White Lotus led the list of trophy recipients with five. ABC’s Abbott Elementary and AMC’s Better Call Saul also won big with 4 trophies each.

Saturday Night Live cast member Kenan Thompson has been confirmed as the host for the 74th Emmy Awards next month. The ceremony will be telecast on NBC live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on 12 September, It will also be streamed live on Peacock for the first time.

Comedian Tig Notaro and Dulcé Sloan (The Daily Show with Trevor Noah) will serve as hosts for The Hollywood Critics Association TV awards Aug. 13-14 at the Beverly Hilton.
