An abandoned Scots hotel went up in flames again just one day after fire crews battled to extinguish an inferno.
Emergency services were called back to the former Carnbooth House Hotel in Carmunnock on Saturday morning after a fire 'reignited' at the premises.
Fire fighters battled a second blaze in one section of the building and left the scene on Sunday morning, Glasgow Live reports.
It comes after ten appliances were sent to the former hotel around 8pm last Thursday, with crews working to extinguish the inferno until Friday evening.
There were no reports of any casualties.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were alerted at 8.03pm on Thursday, August 17 to reports of a derelict building on fire Busby Road, Carmunnock, Glasgow. Operations control mobilised a total of ten appliances at the height of the fire to the scene, where firefighters worked to extinguish the fire.
"Crews left at 9.14pm on Friday, August 18. A number of resources returned to the scene on Saturday, August 19, and Sunday, August 20 after reports of a reignited fire.
"Crews tackled a section of the building which was alight and left at 8.30am on Sunday after ensuring the area was safe."
The large country house was built by architect Alexander Cullen around 1900 and has been empty since 2019, when it closed for refurbishment. In 2018, permission was granted to build 36 flats on its greenbelt grounds by the Planning Local Review Committee.
