Aaron Chalmers says newborn son faces 'a long hard road' amid health issues

Geordie Shore's Aaron Chalmers has written a heartfelt message to his newborn son, but warned of tough times to come.The UFC fighter posted on Instagram, announcing the new addition to his family with mother and girlfriend Talia Oatway. Aaron confirmed the news to his 2.4m followers about his baby boy Oakley Bleu Chalmers, and described the anxious week he has had after.
Chalmers captioned the photo: "Welcome to the world Oakley Bleu Chalmers. You come into this world earlier this week and from the minute you arrived you caused me and your mummy nothing but worry!! "It’s going to be a long hard road for you and all of us as a family the next couple of years but your our little solider and we are going to be with you every step of the way, daddy’s got you son." It didn't take long for friends and fans to gush over the picture of Aaron and his son as Love Island star and pal, Alex Bowen wrote: "Congrats bro," with a love heart emoji.
Fellow former Geordie Shore cast members also sent their well wishes as Holly Hagan commented: " Sending love to you all," with loads of love hearts. While Vicky Pattinson added: "Congrats hunny! ADORE the name".
The post came after an explanation that Aaron gave to fans, highlighting their little boy would be in and out of hospital for the next couple of years. In a video to fans, Aaron said: "We were in fetal medicine for most of the pregnancy, then we got cleared, unfortunately it wasn't cleared, and it wasn't picked up on the scans, so the little bubba is probably going to be in and out of surgery for the next 18 months to 24 months, so just me and Talia are coming to terms with everything."
