Kirsten Dunst Got Called ‘Girly-Girl’ on ‘Spider-Man’ Set and Wishes She Pushed Back; She’d Make Another Superhero Movie ‘Because You Get Paid a Lot of Money’

Zack Sharf Digital News Director Kirsten Dunst said in a new interview with Marie Claire that she’s finally at a stage in her career where she no longer feels “nervous” speaking her mind, adding: “I feel at home sharing everything on set now.” It’s a far cry from the version of Dunst who was on the “Spider-Man” set decades ago. As a young actor, Dunst didn’t have the confidence to speak up when things bothered her. Case in point: Being repeatedly called a “girly-girl” on the “Spider-Man” set.

Zack Sharf Digital News Director Is television dying? It’s a claim Jon Stewart pushed back on during his return to Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show.” Taking pre-show questions from the audience, Stewart was confronted with one viewer who asked about TV in the age of social media. “What do you think about young people getting all of their information and entertainment from social media?” the audience member asked before outright claiming: “TV is dying!” “Is that true?” Stewart answered back. “You still watch TV but you just watch it on your computer [or phone].You understand that’s still TV? ‘Civil War’ Trailer: An Empire Will Fall In Alex Garland’s Divided Nation Political Thriller

Filmmaker Alex Garland is known for thought-provoking sci-fi films, having written the “28 Days Later” films and the upcoming belated sequel, the kickstart-the-sun space film, “Sunshine,” and directing his own films like “Ex Machina,” “Annihilation,” and more. But lately, particularly with the horror “Men,” Garland surely knows how to rattle the cage of audiences and seems to be doing it more provocatively in his last few films and poking the cultural bear, as it were.
