The number of people who have died in hospital in the UK after contracting coronavirus has risen by more than 560 in the past day.
A total of 33,718 people have now tested positive for the virus in the UK, and 2,921 of those hospitalised have sadly died.
The number of deaths has risen by 569 from Wednesday's figure of 2,352, with the number of confirmed cases of coronavirus increasing by 4,244 from 29,474.
More than 163,000 Covid-19 tests have now been carried out in the UK.
