Paramount+ has unveiled a premiere date for 80 for Brady, announcing that the hit film from Paramount Pictures and Fifth Season will bow on the platform in the U.S. and Canada on April 4, coming to additional international markets on dates to be announced down the road.
Opening wide on February 3 and garnering high scores with both critics and audiences, the film went on to a predominantly domestic $39M+ gross after a widely discussed experiment with discounted ticketing. It’s inspired by the true story of four best friends who take a life-changing trip to the 2017 Super Bowl LI to see their hero Tom Brady play.
The film featuring seven-time Super Bowl champion Brady co-stars Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda, Rita Moreno and Sally Field, with Sara Gilbert, Harry Hamlin, Glynn Turman, Bob Balaban, Ron Funches, Jimmy O. Yang, Billy Porter, Rob Corddry, Alex Moffat, Guy Fieri and Matt Lauria rounding out the cast.
The Climb‘s Kyle Marvin directed from a script by Emily Halpern & Sarah Haskins (Booksmart). Fifth Season, the global content studio formerly known as Endeavor Content, developed the film with Brady and Academy Award winner Donna Gigliotti, with Paramount Pictures subsequently acquiring worldwide rights. Gigliotti and Fifth Season produced with Brady through his production company, 199 Productions, with Marvin and Covino exec producing under their Watch This Ready banner, alongside Jeff Stott.

“Superfan,” a one-hour unscripted CBS game show that features diehard fans of six music superstars, including Gloria Estefan and LL Cool J, competing to be crowned that musician’s “superfan.” The six-episode series will debut on Friday, June 9 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on CBS, and will also be available to stream live and on demand on the CBS app and Paramount+, the network announced on Tuesday.

The fourth season of the popular pro wrestling docuseries, which will consist of 10 episodes, will debut on May 30 at 10 p.m. ET. “We’re incredibly grateful to our viewers for giving this show the life that it has had for the past 4 years,” said executive producers Evan Husney and Jason Eisener. “As lifelong fans of professional wrestling, our subjects continue to inspire us. Netflix has set the full cast for Mulligan, its upcoming animated comedy series from Tina Fey, who also stars, and Robert Carlock (30 Rock, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt). In addition to Fey, Nat Faxon, Chrissy Teigen, Sam Richardson, Dana Carvey and Phil LaMarr have been cast as series regulars and Daniel Radcliffe, Kevin Michael Richardson Ayo Edebiri and Ronny Cheng will recur. Emily Longeretta Sylvester Stallone is taking a swing at something new. Paramount+’s upcoming reality show, “The Family Stallone,” which follows follow the actor, his wife and their three daughters, will premiere on the service on May 17 in the U.S., Canada, Latin America and Brazil. The show will debut the following day in the U.K., Australia and Italy, with further international markets to follow. The unscripted series will give viewers a chance to get to know Stallone’s wife, Jennifer Flavin Stallone, who is a businesswoman and the co-owner of the Serious Skin Care wellness brand. Additionally, viewers will meet the pair’s three daughters, who are all on different paths; the oldest, Sophia, is still finding her focus and co-hosts the “Unwaxed” podcast with Sistine; Sistine, whose an actress and model, is developing her first feature film; and Scarlet is working on her acting career while at college. She appeared in Season 1 of “Tulsa King.”
McKinley Franklin author TNT has announced an official premiere date for its scripted action thriller “The Lazarus Project,” which was previously set to come out earlier this year. “The Lazarus Project” will make its debut on Sunday, June 4 at 9 p.m. ET. The eight-hour drama will follow the story of George, The Lazarus Project’s latest recruit. The organization holds the power to travel back in time at any moment when the world may be on the brink of extinction. When one of George’s closest friends suffers an accident, he has to come to answer the question — “if you had the power to re-write your past, what would you sacrifice to do it?” The television series was originally set to release on January 8 but was shelved by its parent company, Warner Bros. Discovery, as it continues to adjust its linear network strategy. “The Lazarus Project” was acquired from the U.K.’s Sky Max, which aired Season 1 in June 2022. The show is now one of the few original scripted series left on TNT, as WBD has wiped most of the original fare off of TBS/TNT in favor of mostly acquired movies and TV repeats, along with sports.

Apple TV+ has set Friday, June 9 for the premiere of The Crowded Room, its upcoming limited series created by Oscar winner Akiva Goldsman (A Beautiful Mind). Tom Holland, who also executive produces, Amanda Seyfried and Emmy Rossum lead the ensemble cast. The first three episodes of the 10-episode series will drop on June 9, followed by one new episode weekly every Friday through July 28.
