Phoebe Bridgers has revealed that she was “in bed with a migraine” when she received the news of her Grammy nominations this week.The Los Angeles singer-songwriter is nominated in four categories at next year’s ceremony: Best New Artist, Best Rock Performance (‘Kyoto’), Best Rock Song (‘Kyoto’) and Best Alternative Music Album (‘Punisher’).Following the announcement, Bridgers was asked by The New York Times how she found out about the prestigious nods.

The official ceremony is being held on January 31, 2021.Dua Lipa has bagged the most nominations in the general field categories, with a total of five.

As expected, Taylor Swift dominated the 2020 Grammy Awards nominations earning six nods including Album of the Year and Song of the Year. What was slightly unexpected was Dua Lipa tying her in overall Grammy nods, including those categories and landing Record of the Year for “Don’t Start Now.” Surprisingly, despite predictions neither landed the most nominations.
