Taylor Sheridan‘s (“Sicario,” “Wind River“) modern Western series “Yellowstone” has been a huge success for Paramount Network, surpassing “The Walking Dead” as the most popular show on cable TV. And because of that success, they’ve spun off the series with a new “Yellowstone”/Paramount+ project “1883.” As the title suggests is a prequel to the original show led by Kevin Costner as the patriarchy of the Dutton family.

Taylor Sheridan continues to grow his empire and landgrab over at Paramount+. The writer/director/producer/showrunner, who is quickly becoming the Shonda Rhimes of Paramount’s streaming service, has yet another series in the works.

Taylor Sheridan is heading East and he’s bringing Sylvester Stallone with him. Stallone will star in the “Yellowstone” creator’s mob drama “Kansas City” for Paramount+.The series marks Stallone’s first regular series TV role in his 50-year career.
