’12 Monkeys’: The Pandemic Thriller Turns 25… Mid-Pandemic

Anne Hathaway gets a much needed release from the stress of quarantine in HBO Max’s Locked Down. On Thursday’s episode of Late Night With Seth Meyers, Hathaway talked with the host about her unique experience filming the heist movie in the midst of a pandemic.

Jon Orsini and Ruby Modine have joined John Malkovich, Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Thaddeus Street in pandemic-inspired thriller The Survivalist for Yale Productions. Directed by Jon Keeyes from an original script by Matthew Rogers, the movie takes place after the fall of civilization from a viral outbreak.

Rebecca Rubin Film and Media Reporter“Tyger Tyger,” a thriller starring Dylan Sprouse that’s set during a deadly pandemic, has secured a distributor. Gravitas Ventures nabbed worldwide rights to the film and plans to release it in select theaters and drive-ins, as well as on digital platforms, on Feb.

EXCLUSIVE: Vertical Entertainment has acquired rights to Safer at Home, a pandemic thriller directed by Will Wernick that Voltage Pictures had introduced to buyers at last November at the virtual American Film Market.
