There are lots of things to love about Scotland, from the breathtaking scenery and riveting history to the unrivalled welcome and the people who will make your time here all the better.
However, you can't always please everyone all of the time, and it seems that more than a few visitors to the country have left with a strong impression of a few things they don't like or are unsure about.
And, as with everything in the internet age, there is a minority who will always find something to complain about.
With the rise of review sites like TripAdvisor and social media channels like Facebook and Twitter offering people the platform to complain like never before, you're never far away from knowing someone's thoughts on a matter.

An American tourist wasn't impressed when he visited the site of the last pitched battle on Scottish soil.
Describing it as "super boring", reviewer Eric from San Francisco wrote: "Never knew there was films about this place. Also never cared for the history of this place.
"Walked the field felt nothing.. Took one picture. 11£ to go into this place, the tour brought us here and didn't include tickets. They just talked the history and walked the field. 1hr of wasted time."
While another similarly disinterested reviewer added: "It's a big field. Yawn."
One tourist from England was so incensed when he didn't see the monster on a recent trip to Loch Ness that he decided to go on a bizarre rant about it on Trip Advisor.
Leaving a one-star review he wrote: "What a disappointment. We travelled 400 miles from Grimsby to see the Loch Ness monster and it didn't show up.
