Zac Efron is opening up about the rumors he’s joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The 34-year-old actor responded to the reports while appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Friday (September 30) in New York City.
Back in September 2019, there were rumors that Marvel was looking for a “Jewish ‘Zac Efron-type’ who is preferably of Israeli decent” for the lead role in the Moon Knight series. Oscar Isaac ended up getting the part.
Now, Zac is opening up about the rumors and calls for him to play Wolverine.

In response to Marvel looking for a “Zac Efron type,” the actor said, “Really? They could just call me.”
While discussing the Wolverine rumors, Zac said, “I think Hugh’s still doing that pretty well, I got to give it to him…I guess I had my foot in the door on that one, I should go talk to him.”
Zac and Hugh starred in The Greatest Showman together.
