The 36-song set has logged a total of 15 nonconsecutive weeks at No. 1 while the buzzy “Last Night” spends a 13th at the peak, surpassing Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” as the third-ever album to have ruled over Billboard 200 for at least 11 weeks while one of its songs leads on the Hot 100. “One Thing at a Time’s” 110,500 album units managed to ward off Young Thug’s surprise debut of “Business Is Business,” which entered the chart at No. 2 with 89,000 units and 106 million streams. In the past few months, Wallen has also been challenged by K-pop champions (Twice, Jimin, Agust D, Seventeen) and stars ranging from Ed Sheeran to Melanie Martinez, Niall Horan and others. To this day, Wallen’s 2021 album “Dangerous: The Double Album” also remains in the top 10 of the chart (this week it’s at No. 7).

It was not. “It’s One Direction!” someone in the audience finally shouted — not quite getting it right, but on point in alluding to the source of the noise, intermittent crowd roars from a Louis Tomlinson concert at the Hollywood Bowl, just on the other side of the 101. “How do you like my new band?” Young finally quipped, before getting back to business, resigning himself to the stray sound effects.

Set on Iran’s northern Caspian Sea coast, the film follows Amir (Hamid Reza Abbasi), a young man who, desperate to marry his girlfriend Narges (Sadif Asgari), seeks work at a local fishery with the hope of earning enough money for an appropriate dowry and winning over her upper-class parents. Once there, illicit opportunities present themselves and he is soon drawn into the dangerous but lucrative business of sturgeon poaching and the black market caviar trade.

Jem Aswad Executive Editor, Music Young Thug — who has been awaiting trial in an Atlanta jail for over a year — may not belong in an orange jumpsuit, but he’ll probably reinvent the attire at some fashion show when he gets out. Thugger is one of the top rappers in the game, and yet he’s been sidelined by allegations from Georgia’s Fulton County that his Young Stoner Life label is actually a criminal gang. Thug’s response: a surprise album, as he awaits jury selection, that doubles as a kind of opening statement, not for the “peers” to be selected by the court, but for his friends, fans and family rooting for him from the sidelines.  Arriving just a week after “Gift & a Curse,” the new album from labelmate and former associate Gunna — who was also indicted but pleaded guilty to one count of racketeering and has been freed — “Business Is Business” is Thug’s first solo release since 2021’s “Punk,” and since his was incarcerated. Despite its “Godfather”-ish title, the album reflects the divides in the YSK camp: BSlime, Lil Gotit and Yak Gotti are the only featured crew members, Gunna is nowhere to be seen, and Wheezy has three production credits on the album but none on a “Gift & a Curse.” Consequently, it’s missing the camaraderie that has been a hallmark of Thug’s career, from “Best Friend” to the YSL collaborative album, “Slime Language 2” — although it does feature guest verses from Travis Scott, Future, 21 Savage, Lil Uzi Vert and more.

Young Thug‘s new album Business Is Business is out now. The project was officially announced yesterday (June 22) with the cover art, though Thug teased it the previous week with a QR code that led to this site (prior to today, the site was a countdown to June 22 at midnight).

Thania Garcia Young Thug’s new album is called “Business Is Business” and will be released tonight, the incarcerated rapper confirmed via social media on Thursday. The album’s black-and-white cover art shows Thug in a courtroom with his co-defendants sitting beside him on either side. The set will be the Atlanta-bred rapper’s first full-length release since 2021’s “Punk,” and will also be his first project since he was arrested and jailed on RICO charges with fellow rapper Gunna and dozens of others in a massive gang indictment. I LOVE YOU.” Thug’s album also saw support from Drake, 21 Savage, Coi Leray and others who shared the album’s cryptic countdown on their social media pages a few days prior to its official announcement.
