in Wigan has been named locally as Alex Roby. Alex was riding his motorbike in the Bamburlong area when it collided with a metal barrier on Saturday (September 12). The accident, involving a Honda CRF250 motorbike, happened on Bryn Gates Lane shortly after 11am. Despite the best efforts of emergency services, Alex was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. Flowers, framed photographs and other heartfelt gifts have since been left at the scene of the crash.
